2025 Poultry Schedule

Entries close Friday 18th July 2025 or when pens are full.
Please send entries to Charters Towers Show, PO Box 141, Charters Towers QLD 4820 or bring them into Show Office (under grandstand) anytime, between 10am – 4.30 pm but NOT after Friday 18th July 2025.
Conditions of Entry
- All birds to be penned by 8.00am Monday 28th July 2025. Judging will start from 9.00am.
2. Sick or diseased birds will NOT be allowed to be penned.
3. Infected birds will be removed from the pavilion to the exhibitor at the exhibitor’s cost. If the exhibitor is not available, the infected bird/s will be quarantined at the exhibitor’s cost.
4. Any poultry with stick fast fleas needs to be removed and spraying of all pens be done at the owner’s expense and will not be allowed to show.
5. No bird is to be handled or removed from the pen without a Steward’s permission.
6. Cockerels and pullets must be under 12 months at the time of showing.
7. Fowl exhibits – Please show breed on entry form.
8. All birds will be watered during the Show.
9. No bird shall be released from the Show before 3pm on the last day of the Show (Tuesday) 29th July 2025.
10. Prize money may be collected from the Steward between 3.30pm and 4.00pm on Tuesday 29th July 2025.
11. Entries in AOV and AOC classes must have a description of breed, colour and sex on the entry form.
12. Entries in the juvenile classes must be penned by the juvenile exhibitor.
13. Birds entered into the wrong class by the exhibitor may be changed to the correct class by the judge and/ or chief steward.
14. The Poultry shed is Alcohol Free, if exhibitors are wanting to consume alcohol there is a bar on the grounds.
15. TPA&MA Inc. will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, death, loss, alteration or omission that may be caused through or by, an exhibit or exhibitor, and it shall be a condition of entry that such exhibitor will hold the Association blames and indemnified against legal proceedings arising out of such accident, damage, death, loss, alteration or omission. If you are unsure about the effect of this clause, please seek your own legal advice at your own cost prior to entering your exhibit.
16. The judge’s decision is final and no discussion will be entered into with the judge while judging is in process about their decision or the merits thereof.
17. TPA&MA Inc. reserves the right to substitute vouchers/sponsor’s goods for the prize money for voucher’s/sponsor’s goods.
18. Any person objecting to an award or an exhibit can enter a protest in writing, setting out the grounds for the objection. The protest must be lodged with the TPA&MA Inc. via the Secretary before noon Tuesday 29th July 2025. No protest will be entered without reason provided. Protests must be accompanied by the sum of $50.00, which will be forfeited to TPA&MA Inc. Dispute Resolution Committee should the Committee find the protest frivolous or vexatious. The Committee’s decision is final.

Unless otherwise stated, all adult/juvenile class entries are $1.00 each.

SECOND PRIZE $3.00
Unless there are 3 or more entries in a class, second prize money will not be awarded
All sections: Champion $20.00 and Reserve Champions $10.00
